Flying and Airports
Information on flying, airports, what to do to pass the time and any other advice i think may come in useful when hitting the sky's.
Take Food With You- Airport food is usually very expensive and it's usually a choice of mcdonalds or a WHSmith sandwich, so why not take your own food. A lot of people don't even realise you can take your own food through security. I usually take sandwiches and some fruit. This could easily save you £10. And never have i ever been told to chuck my food away when going through security, it's just rumours.
Take a Water Bottle- £2 for a bottle of water. No thanks. You're not allowed to take a bottle of water through airport security, but you can empty it out, and take the empty water bottle through, and then fill it up once you're past security. If there are no water fountains just ask at a shop or restaurant if they can fill it up.
Check in Next to the Business Class Line- Ever notice how when the business/first class lines are empty which they quite often are, then they call over the economy class people. This makes the queue right next to the first class line much quicker, and will get you checked in much faster.
Screenshot Your Boarding Pass- We've all been there, where you get get to the plane and can't find your boarding pass, or it's somewhere in the bottom of your bag. Screenshot it on your phone or take a picture of it. This will help you out if you don't have Wifi to access it either, as will be in your images. This can save you a lot of time and stress.
Just ASK- Literally if you want something, just be polite and ask. Whether it's seat preferences, showers in airports, first class lounges, security or check in. If you're polite and ask a lot of the time the air staff will say yeah sure. I usually find giving them some sob story about how long you've been travelling works best. I don't think this would work very often for the first class lounges. But i managed to pull it off once.
