So as you now know, if you complete your 3 months regional farm work, you can get a second year visa to Australia. There are loads of different types of jobs available depending on what kind of work your looking for the pay, accommodation, work hours it all varies. Some are family run farms where it will just be you helping out a family, others are there may be 20 other backpackers and you will all be working together. Farm work is hard and it can be very physical, again it depends on specifically what type of farm job you get. I myself had 2 farm jobs so split up my 88 days, I did half on a farm in Queensland picking Zucchinis, there were about 20 other people all doing this, it was very hard work in the sun just walking down a field picking vegetables. And the other farm was a family run horse farm this was a bit more fun and a better experience as I would do a range of things, such as look after horses, fencing, ride quad bikes, put out hay, general maintenance work etc. Both were completely different experiences and both taught me a great deal. I would definitely recommenced splitting it up though and doing half on one farm and half on another as this gives you the chance to get two different experiences, and then you wont get as bored as get the two opportunities, but then again if you are enjoying your first farm so much then stay for sure.
